Dr. SK Mandal is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Diabetic Association Medical College, Faridpur, Bangladesh, with over a decade of teaching and research experience in medical biochemistry. He began his academic career in 2012 at Monno Medical College, Manikganj. He later served in various capacities at Ad-din Akij Medical College in Khulna and Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College. He earned his MBBS from Community-Based Medical College, Mymensingh, under the University of Dhaka, and completed his M.Phil. in Biochemistry from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College under Bangladesh Medical University. Committed to continuous learning, he has also completed international online training in Public Health from Indiana University, USA; Diabetes from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark; Weight Management from Emory University, USA; and Global Health from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Mandal is a dedicated researcher specializing in stroke and diabetes, with several national and international publications in peer-reviewed journals. His work explores biochemical markers, metabolic pathways, and lifestyle interventions in non-communicable diseases. Alongside his academic responsibilities, he is also passionate about science communication. He runs an educational Facebook page titled "School of Medical Biochemistry," aimed at simplifying complex biochemical concepts for medical students. Dr. Mandal remains actively involved in teaching, research, mentorship, and public health initiatives, with a mission to inspire and educate future medical professionals across Bangladesh and beyond.
